1. How to write music!
- Can you write a tune?
- Do you have an understanding of how harmony supports and enhances a melody, and can you re-imagine it in multiple ways?
- Can you arrange and present your ideas clearly? Can you arrange them over time to create a coherent and narrative structure to your music?
- Are you aware of the various instruments? How they sound, how they play, and what roles they often are given?
- Can you listen to music and identify characteristics that define various styles and genres?
- Can you create contemporary sounds by working with textures?
2. How to Produce Music in a DAW
Can you realize and deliver your musical ideas in a DAW?
